Keeping the environment clean and safe is a very important thing nowadays, and the United Arab Emirates Started to emphasise the importance of recycling recently by placing the recycling bins around the country, and they started focusing on it from schools as they are still young. Us as a school, Golden Garden Elementary School is working on spreading the knowledge of recycling among children for we believe that planting the knowledge about the environment and the importance of recycling from a very young age in order when these children grow up is very important, they will have the base knowledge about the dangers that our environment are facing these days, and when they will grow up, they will spread the knowledge about recycling in the future.
To encourage the young students, we should give them some motivations in which will encourage them to recycle. For example: organising competitions and set awards for the students who gather the most recyclable waste, increasing the amount of environmental education with shedding the light on recycling, also, we encourage them to clean their classrooms clean. this kind of events and activities will make the students at Golden Garden Elementary School motivated to be recycle and sustain the environment.
Now, why should student learn the importance of recycling from a very young age? The answer is that recycling is the future of the world we live in. We use a lot of the earth resource on a daily bases without taking on consideration what kind of damage we are leaving everyday, which will accumulate with time causing us many serious environmental problems that threaten the way we live and effect it. So, by recycling we are saving the environment and reduce the ecological footprint we make on earth.
Recycling is and will always be important, therefore, we should emphasise it in every possible way to plant the love of the environment in the souls and the hearts of our students in Golden Garden Elementary School because our slogan is “Working Together To Keep Our Environment Clean.”
